The product card in PIM — what you set there
The product card is where you keep everything about a single item. It is divided into sections:
- General information — product category (you pick a catalogue first, then a category inside it), manufacturer and brand.
- Product title and description — separately for each language. The test account has three: Polish, English and French.
- Product gallery — drag images in or pick them from disk, up to 5 MB per file. One image is marked as the main one.
- Parameters — EAN, SKU, ASIN and any of your own: text, numeric or pick-from-list.
- Additional fields — text, numeric, date, multiple choice and single choice.
- Product price — net price, gross price, VAT rate and discount.
The difference between a parameter and an additional field: parameters describe the product itself and travel to sales channels (EAN, size, colour). Additional fields are for you — they hold what the buyer does not need to see.
The dictionaries the card draws on — catalogues, categories, brands, manufacturers, parameters, languages, tags and additional fields — are defined once in PIM settings.
