Product statuses in PIM

A status says what stage a product is at. There are three by default: Public, Draft and Private, but you can add your own.

Statuses can be arranged into groups — then you filter the product list by a whole group instead of individual statuses. The counters next to each status show how many products currently sit in it.

A status is also a trigger and an action in automated rules: a rule can react to "Product status set" and perform "Change product status" itself. That is the simplest way to move a product through a process without clicking — from Draft to Public, for example, once images and a price are filled in.
