Offer replication — one offer across many accounts
Replication copies a source offer onto further accounts and platforms. Instead of listing the same product separately in every place, you do it once and Easyitem takes care of the rest.
Once replicated, an offer gets the Replica role and follows its source. A price or stock change on the source offer carries over to the replicas.
Two actions do this:
- Run a replication job — for a whole batch of offers.
- Replicate a single offer — when you want to add just one.
Replication state is visible in the statuses: To replicate → Replicated, and when something goes wrong — Replication error. The triggers Offer replicated, Offer replication error and Offer replication cancelled let you build rules that react to problems on their own.
The Active replication job trigger lets you react to the fact that a replication is running at all.
Two flavours of replication
There are two ways to replicate, and they differ in where stock comes from:
- an offer built from your own data — PIM provides the content, WMS the stock, and stock is deducted after a sale in OMS or WMS;
- a source account — one sales account (Allegro, for example) is the source and the other channels get replicas; a stock change on the source account then goes straight to OmniChannel, bypassing WMS and OMS.
In the source-account variant the source holds the current stock. Changes on the source travel to the replicas — stock added on the source is added on the replicas; close the source offer and the replicas close too. Sales work the other way round: if goods sell on a replica, stock is reduced on the source offer and spreads from there to the remaining replicas. So every channel sees the same stock, wherever the sale happened.
Both routes are described in Two ways to list an offer.
