Categories and parameters across platforms — who maps them?
We handle the mapping. You do not have to match categories or parameters to each platform's requirements by hand.
Here is the problem: the same dress sits in one category tree on Allegro, another on Amazon and a third in your PrestaShop. On top of that every platform demands different parameters, names them differently and defines different permitted values. With a few dozen products you can click through it. With a few thousand you cannot.
How it works for you:
- You describe the product once, in PIM — your own category, your own parameters, your own names.
- When listing through OmniChannel, the category and parameters are matched to the target platform's requirements.
- You review and approve — you do not fill everything in from scratch.
What this changes in practice: adding another sales channel does not mean describing your whole assortment again. Nor do you maintain separate category sets per platform — one product card in PIM serves them all.
If a platform requires information PIM does not hold, you will see it when listing the offer. You then fill the missing field in once, on the product card, rather than on every offer separately.
