Orders in WMS and their statuses

Orders are not created in WMS — they come from OMS and pass through the warehouse here. The list shows: number, date, status, products, item and piece counts, picking progress and the person the order is assigned to.

Warehouse statuses (WMS → Order statuses) describe the journey through the warehouse:

  • Downloaded from OMS — the order has just arrived.
  • New orders — waiting to be planned.
  • Planned on a route — it made it onto a picking route.
  • Being picked — a picker is collecting it right now.
  • Picked — complete.
  • Incomplete before picking and Incomplete after picking — goods are missing; the first means it was known before going onto the floor, the second that the shortage only showed up during the pick.
  • Blocked by stocktaking — the goods sit in a place being counted.
  • Cancelled.

Statuses are editable — you can add your own with Add status and group them, just like order statuses in OMS.

The flow of orders from OMS into WMS works thanks to Easyitem Sync. WMS does not take orders from sales channels itself — it receives them from the orders module.

Two statuses are worth watching: "Incomplete after picking" means a real gap between stock and reality, and "Blocked by stocktaking" explains why an order is stuck although the goods exist.
