Carts — what they are for and what statuses they have

A cart in WMS is the picker's physical trolley and at the same time a container for the orders they collect in one pass.

Cart statuses:

• Free — nobody is using it, a route can be assigned.
• Picking — a pick is in progress.
• Packing — picked, waiting to be packed.
• Unfinished — the pick was interrupted.

For each cart the list shows the number, status, route (with its item count) and the person it is assigned to. The counters above the list let you see in one click how many carts are idle and how many are in use.

The "Unfinished" status is worth checking at the end of a shift — these are picks somebody started and abandoned; left alone they keep goods blocked.

You add a new cart with the Add cart button.
