Automated actions in WMS — triggers and actions

Warehouse rules are created in WMS → Automated actions. This is the module that leans on Easyitem Sync the most — a good share of what it reacts to is sent by neighbouring modules.

What you react to in WMS:

• goods movement — receipt, put-away, reservation, a product picked, an order completed;
• problems — a stock threshold reached, a shortage reported during picking, an unrecognised product;
• packing — products packed in an order;
• schedule — a rule can run on a timetable rather than only in reaction to an event. This is the only such place in Easyitem.

What WMS can perform: change a warehouse order status, plan picking routes, fire a custom trigger, and reach into neighbouring modules — fetch an order from the orders module, or fetch and refresh product data from PIM.

Two rules worth starting with:

• stock threshold reached → a reaction on the sales side, before you sell goods you do not have;
• an order arrived from the orders module → plan picking routes, so they appear on their own.

If you have OMS or PIM switched on, groups named after those modules appear on the trigger list as well — that is Easyitem Sync. Without them you are left with warehouse triggers and the schedule.

The current list of triggers and actions is always in the panel and grows with the system.
