Automated actions in OMS — the full list of triggers and actions

The orders module has the richest set of triggers and actions in Easyitem — and it is where most people build their first rules.

A rule has three parts: a trigger (what happened), conditions (when it should fire, optional) and actions (what should happen). You create it in Orders → Automated actions.

What you react to: events around the order, statuses, documents, shipments, products in an order, returns and packing. Full overview: What events can be a trigger?

What the system can perform: change the order or its status, send an e-mail, SMS or internal note, handle a shipment, issue or cancel a document, run a return, call a URL or fire a custom event, print. More: What can the system do in response to an event?

Three triggers that are easy to forget and that save money:

  • incorrect payment received — catches underpayments before the parcel goes out;
  • order cancelled on the platform — so you do not ship something the customer already called off;
  • in a status for a given number of days — catches orders that got stuck and that nobody remembers.

The current list of triggers and actions is always in the panel — open the dropdown when creating a rule. The list grows with the system.
